A LONGER VIEW

Collagen care, with a longer view.

Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid, or PLLA, which stimulates collagen production over time. This gradual approach can improve the appearance of selected facial wrinkles and folds.

Michele will assess your skin, facial concerns and health history, then discuss how collagen stimulation relates to the changes you would like to explore. Your goals guide the conversation about treatment areas and timing.

A plan may include a series of appointments, with time between visits to assess your response. You’ll discuss the proposed schedule and cost so you know what your course of care involves.

A THOUGHTFUL APPROACH

Gradual change, thoughtfully planned.

Collagen-related improvement develops over time. Michele will help you understand the expected pace and when to review your progress, with the number and spacing of appointments based on your assessment.

You’ll receive guidance on preparation and aftercare for the proposed treatment. Bring any upcoming event dates to your consultation so the schedule can account for the gradual nature of the result.

BEFORE YOUR VISIT

A few good
questions.

How do results develop?

The intended collagen-related improvement develops gradually. Early fullness can include swelling or fluid from treatment, so the appearance immediately after an appointment is not the settled result. Timing and response vary.

Is Sculptra the same as Restylane?

No. Restylane products are hyaluronic-acid gels, while Sculptra contains PLLA and works through gradual collagen stimulation. They have different properties and treatment considerations. Your consultation can help clarify which approach may suit your concern.

How many appointments will I need?

Your plan may include a series of appointments. After assessing you, Michele will explain the proposed number of visits, spacing, cost and follow-up so you can plan ahead.

What should I know about suitability and risks?

Sculptra should not be used if you have an allergy to its ingredients, a history of keloids or hypertrophic scars, anaphylaxis, or multiple severe allergies. If mixed with lidocaine, it should not be used with an allergy to lidocaine or other amide anesthetics. Safety during pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been established. Swelling, bruising, tenderness and delayed lumps or nodules can occur, and injection into a blood vessel can cause serious injury. Michele will review the full safety information, your health history and aftercare before treatment.

This information is general. A consultation is needed to assess suitability, individual risks and a care plan.
