UNDERSTANDING YOUR CONCERNS

A personal approach to hormone therapy.

Changes in sleep, energy, mood or sexual health can leave you wondering what has changed. A hormone consultation gives you time to talk through those concerns with Michele and explore possible next steps.

Southern offers hormone care for women and men, including Biote hormone pellet therapy. Michele brings your symptoms, health history and appropriate testing together to discuss the options relevant to you.

Symptoms can have different causes, which is why your assessment comes first. Your consultation connects how you feel with a plan for evaluation and, where appropriate, treatment and follow-up.

A THOUGHTFUL APPROACH

Biote hormone pellet therapy.

At Southern, Biote hormone pellet therapy is one of the options available through a personal consultation with Michele. Small pellets are placed beneath the skin during an office visit, releasing the prescribed hormone over time.

Your care begins with a conversation about how you feel, a review of your health history and appropriate lab testing. Michele will discuss whether pellet therapy fits your needs, the proposed treatment, aftercare and follow-up.

BEFORE YOUR VISIT

A few good
questions.

How do I know if hormone therapy is right for me?

Michele will consider your symptoms, medical history and appropriate testing together. This assessment helps identify possible causes and whether hormone therapy or another approach fits your needs. Recommendations are individual.

Will testing be needed?

The evaluation depends on your symptoms and health history. For men being assessed for testosterone deficiency, professional guidance calls for compatible symptoms and consistently low testosterone, confirmed with repeat morning testing. Michele can discuss which tests, if any, are appropriate for you.

What does bioidentical mean?

Bioidentical describes a hormone with the same molecular structure as one produced by the body. Michele can explain the specific hormone being considered and how it relates to your treatment goals.

What should I know before pellet therapy?

Biote uses compounded hormone preparations, which are not FDA-approved. Your consultation covers the specific hormone, potential benefits, side effects, alternatives and monitoring. Because pellets release hormones over time, the dose cannot be readily adjusted or discontinued after insertion. Suitability and results vary by person.

This information is general. A consultation is needed to assess suitability, individual risks and a care plan.
